In June 1973, the Electricité du Liban – in collaboration with the Water Company, the Beirut Municipality, the Ministry of Post and Telegraph, and the Telephone Company – issued an internal booklet consolidating the street names and numbers in Beirut.

The printed version begins with an introductory section: "Explanations For Using The Guide". This section is missing from the later circulated pdf of the document.
